  • Kipoi Copper Project - Democratic Republic of Congo
  • Golden Hills Gold Project - Mongolia
  • Barrambie Vanadium Project - Australia
  • Dargues Reef - Australia
  • Mount Carlton Copper Gold Project - Australia
  • Surdulica Molybdenum Project - Serbia
  • Didipio Copper/Gold Project - Philippines
  • Macraes Mine Scheelite Project - New Zealand

Marengo Mining Yandera Project -  Papua New Guinea

Arccon has been engaged to undertake a process plant design for Marengo Mining's Yandera Project which forms a key component of the Project’s Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).

The Copper-Molybdenum-Gold Yandera Project is one of the Asia Pacific’s largest undeveloped copper resources.

Poject principal: Marengo Mining Limited
Commencement date: July 2011
Completion date: first production expeted in 2015

Kipoi Copper Project - Democratic Republic of Congo

Arccon has been engaged to undertake a scoping Study based on processing the various stockpiles generated during the HMS operation and developing a 50,000 tpa copper production facility capable of processing the remaining ore deposits. Multiple options are being studied with an objective of the study to match the project’s capital development expenditure with probable cash flow generation.

Poject principal: Tiger Resources Limited
Commencement date: November 2010
Completion date: February 2011

Barrambie Vanadium Project - Australia

Arccon, with partner NFC, are undertaking a design optimisation review of the current Barrambie Vanadium study and intend to submit a lump-sum proposal. The review will seek to capitalise on “fit for purpose” design opportunities combined with cost effective Chinese manufacturing which is expected to result in lower capital and operating costs for the client.

Project principal: Reed Resources Limited
Commencement date: May 2010
Completion date: April 2011

Golden Hills Gold Project - Mongolia

Arccon were engaged to undertake a study and design of a western-style CIL gold plant. The plant was to be in the order of 0.75Mtpa from an open pit mine. During the study development, testwork results indicated the ore to be susceptible to heap leaching a second study was commenced to assess this option also.

Project principal: Bayan Airag LLC, a subsidiary of Hong Kong based, Kerry Holdings Ltd
Commencement date: May 2010
Completion date: March 2011

Dargues Reef - Australia

Arccon were engaged to undertake a study and design of a gold flotation plant The project facilities comprise a mineral process concentrator to process sulphide ore from an underground mine. The process facility will produce a gold concentrate and doré as saleable products.

Project principal: Cortona Resources Limited.
Commencement date: April 2010
Completion date: October 2010

Mount Carlton Copper Gold Project - Australia

The brief includes a complete Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) to finalise geological models, mine planning and schedule, metallurgy, environmental submissions, process plant design including floatation plant, Geocoat® bacteria leach pads, gold and silver recovery plant and a copper SX plant.

In parallel with the DFS, the process plant design is being completed to a level where construction can commence in early 2010.

Project principal:  Conquest Mining Limited
Completion date:  November 2009
Engineering: February 2010

Didipio Copper/Gold Project - Philippines

Arccon were engaged to undertake a study and design of the process plant component of a revised development concept for the Didipio copper/gold project. The plant was to be in the order of 1.3Mtpa from an open pit mine.

Project principal:  Oceana Gold Philippines Incorporated
Completion date:  May 2009

Macraes Mine Scheelite Project - New Zealand

The project was a review of the in-house design and prepare a capital cost estimate for a facility to additionally extract the scheelite contained in the 5.7Mtpa ore feed producing 75,000 tpa of concentrate from the Macraes gold mine on the South island of New Zealand. The work included expansion and design of a flowsheet and mass balances showing equipment items.

Project principal: Oceana Gold Corporation
Completion date:  March 2009

Surdulica Molybdenum Project - Serbia

This world scale deposit is located in the mountainous region of SE Serbia. Anticipated ore delivery rate from the open cut mine was 20MTPA.

Arccon acted as Supervising Engineers for the preparation of the project Scoping Study which incorporated input from the environmental, mining, waste and tailings management, water management, transport, power supply, access, marketing, financial, regulatory and other specialist contributors. These comprised a mixture of in-country, EU and Australian consultants.
